2025 Denver Sketch Festival: Catastrophic Success, Field Trip - Thu 10/9/25 @ 10:00 PM

Formed three years ago in the hallowed halls of The Second City Training Center, ‘Catastrophic Success’ is a professional sketch group comprised of Conservatory graduates Jake Jones and Grant Batdorff, and Second City cast members Mikey Fried and Sophia Brazda. Known for their surreal, absurdist style of sketch and heightened theatricality, this band of classically trained actors turned comedians bring life, music, and thought-provoking commentary to their work. Following a sold-out run of their self-titled revue at the Den Theatre in 2024, they returned to their Second City roots with ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS, directed by Mainstage performer and e.t.c. alum Laurel Krabacher with music direction by Ryan Miera, that enjoyed another sold-out run in February 2025.

Field Trip is a Boston-based sketch comedy trio whose sets have been described as “undeiniably charming,” “surprisingly touching,” and “cured my IBS.” Since 2022, they’ve been delighting audiences with their brand of fast-paced, so-dumb-it’s-smart humor at sketch fests including New York, DC, Montréal, Philadelphia, Portland, and Seattle.

Buckle up for a journey of goofs, gaffes, gabs, jabs, and most of all, well-timed comedic jokes delivered in a scripted format. We’re going on a Field Trip!
