There are things you don’t say and do in real life, but you can say and do on stage. I believe doing so is a therapeutic outlet for those parts of us that we hold inside.
On stage, you can say:
“I learned the passcode to your cell phone.”
“I like being naked with you.”
“Fuck it, I’m gonna do it, to hell with the consequences.”
And you can:
Take off your wedding ring.
Tell off your boss and make a scene about it.
Be the person who you think you want to be.
It’s okay. It’s fun. It’s what the audience wants to see. And it’s therapeutic.
