2026 Denver Sketch Festival – Not Vivek Srikanthan / Big Ol’ Mess - Saturday, October 10, 2026 @ 10:00 PM

Vivek Srikanthan is dead.

After attempting to do solo metafictional sketch ‘comedy’ for years, he was taken out back by the Ghosts of Comedy Past, Present, and Future, and given a drug concoction of strychnine, zyklon b, and ‘Reels’. He was then cut limb from limb, and separated across the globe so that nobody could ever stumble upon a man who once tried to do ‘art’ in Comedy. But thanks to the laws of reincarnation (thanks Buddha!), his body has reformed itself here, in this very festival, and they have learned much on their travels. Things such as ‘detective hat’, ‘game of the scene’, and perhaps most importantly, ‘how to get on a JFL showcase’. There is no longer Vivek, but only the grand and glorious thing known as ‘character comedy’.

Vivek Srikanthan is also a Toronto based sketch comedian, best known for his idiotic, self-reflexive, and self-deprecating style of solo sketch comedy. He has previously performed sketch festivals across North America including Denver, Toronto, Montreal, Newfoundland, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Philly Sketchfests. He has performed in Vancouver and Toronto Fringe Festivals, and is a co-winner of the ‘Dumbest of the Fest’ award at Denver Sketchfest 2025, as part of ‘Andy Assaf and Vivek Srikanthan’

Big Ol’ Mess is a sketch comedy group from Denver, CO. They have performed in shows and festivals across North America, with appearances in New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, Austin, Montreal, Newfoundland, Portland, Dallas, and Washington D.C. They are also the winners of the $10,000 Grand Prize winner of the 2025 Cam Wyllie Sketch Comedy Invitational.
