About the WORKSHOP
Through a mashup of clown, post modern dance and theater games, this alter ego workshop leads you to draw upon all parts of YOU. Tapping into the inherent knowledge of our bodies and hearts, we will draw out the absurd, generous, tacky, ambitious, dreaming beings that live within us. Come play and leave with the beginnings of an act to build upon.
 
About TRUDEE (Deb’s Alter Ego)
Alter Ego is Latin for “the other I” but TruDee is not a separate entity from myself (although I talk about her in the third person), she is a practice of becoming. TruDee is True Deb. She is a practice in nurturing and exercising the parts of me that I wish were larger and more generous. She is a practice in loving harder, shaming less, abandoning judgement, jumping heart first and leaving no room for fear or over analyzation. Generosity is queen and everyone deserves to be seen and loved (even ex-husbands). TruDee was born out of a dare which pushes me towards my own truth. About DEB
DEB LOHSE  loves circus, sequins and the NYC Department of Sanitation. She is a creator and collaborator living and working in New York City and her digital and live works have been presented at Wimbledon Shorts Festival, Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, Female Eye Film Festival, Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, DanceNow at Joe’s Pub, American Dance Festival, United Solo Theater Festival and The Stonewall Inn. Lohse holds a Certificate in Filmmaking from NYU School of Professional Studies and a B.A. in Dance and B.A. in Theater from UC San Diego.
