Us Against The World: Improv Workshop with Susie Sargent - Saturday, August 2, 2025 @ 11:00 AM

This class invites you to stop arguing onstage and start scheming together. Instead of clashing or arguing with your scene partner, you’ll join forces—conspiring, collaborating, and creating characters who want the same thing. This class helps you escape the argument trap and discover the joy of mutual want. Whether you’re lovers on the run, siblings trying to keep a secret buried, or co-workers plotting to take down their tyrannical boss, you’ll practice building strong, specific relationships and raising the stakes without raising your voices. Expect scenes full of playful plotting, emotional connection, and characters you’ll want to root for.

Bio: Susie Sargent discovered—and fell in love with—improv over twenty-five years ago. Since then, she’s shared her passion through coaching, workplace training, and performance. She has taught hundreds of students and currently coaches at BATS Improv in San Francisco. Susie spent seven years as an ensemble member of Un-Scripted Theater Company, performing full-length improvised plays and musicals, and performed for two seasons with How We First Met, including shows aboard Crystal Cruises. She’s also taken the stage at many SF Bay Area theaters and currently performs as half of Wine and Weasels.
