OVERCOMING FEAR with Holly Laurent is an improv workshop that isolates confident play, explores the mental game beneath your performance and cultivates more creativity and less judgment. Come dust off the cobwebs and develop your improv voice by gaining a few simple tools that work every time.
Holly Laurent is an LA based writer and performer. She is creator and host of the hit podcast MEGA and a featured contributor on the nationally syndicated radio variety show Live From Here (APM). Originally from Chicago, she is an alumnus of the Second City main stage where she wrote and performed three critically acclaimed revues. She has performed at TBS Just For Laughs Festival Montreal, and developed an original comedy revue Let Them Eat Chaos at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. Holly holds a M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College, is a founding member of the longstanding improv group The Reckoning and currently plays with Soundtrack at UCB. Her film and television credits include A.P. Bio (NBC), All Rise (CBS), Tacoma FD (truTV), Drunk History (Comedy Central), Food: The Source of Life (Adult Swim), Key & Peele (Comedy Central), Barely Famous (VH1), Funny or Die: Exclusives and The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS). Holly recently released her first short film Brought to You by Satan and is published in Defenestration and Mayday Magazine.
