IMPROV 201 (Sundays 8/25-10/6 @11am Skipping 9/1)

In Level 201 you will begin to work with your fellow improvisers and discover the joy of creating scenes together. You’ll learn how to construct honest and believable characters, environments, and scene flows. You’ll experiment with focus and listening. Most of all, you’ll have FUN!
Prerequisite:  A Completed 101 or Education Director Approval

Rob Lecrone began acting and doing improv in the 90’s in his hometown of Anchorage, Alaska. He has a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting in Television, Film, and Theatre from Cal State LA, where he also taught acting to undergrads. In LA, Rob graduated from the Upright Citizens Brigade improv program, studied improv at the Clubhouse, and studied acting at the Howard Fine Studio. In New York, he studied in the Hagen Teacher’s Lab at HB Studio. In Albuquerque, he studied improv at The Box Performance Space. Rob is a member of Albuquerque improv-team, Left on Read (formerly Tasteful Nudes); Denver team, Future Ghost; and online team, Squirrely Bird (which also performed live in New York). For almost a decade, he has been a featured artist at the Valdez Theatre Conference where he coaches in the Monologue Workshop; co-curates, co-organizes, and co-hosts the nightly Valdez Fringe; acts in the Play Lab and sometimes in mainstage productions; and is a panelist respondent for new play development. Rob currently teaches a weekly online acting class, and besides studying and teaching improv and Hagen-based acting, has also trained in stage combat, classical acting, Viewpoints, Fitzmaurice Voicework, Lecoq Technique, Alexander Technique, Barrantes’ Voice System, devised theatre, and more. Rob recently appeared as a government agent in a funny scene in The Unexpecteds, a feature film starring Upright Citizens Brigade co-founder, Matt Walsh. www.roblecrone.com
