DESCRIPTION:Mic Drop Comedy Workshop is every Wednesday from 6-8 PM before the open mic. Please include your name and the date you are signing up for. It is not guaranteed that you will get a turn every week\, however\, if you do not get a turn you will be moved to the front of the list the following week.  If you do not attend the following week\, your spot in line will be forfeited and you will need to sign up again. The event is free to attend and giving notes and listening to others feedback can be an awesome tool for improving your joke writing. If you do get up for a set there will be a $10 suggested donation paid in cash or venmo to @cabuchsy at the end of each workshop. Every set is given 6 minutes to run material and get feedback from the room. DESCRIPTION:“This workshop goes one step at a time through a series of warm-ups and exercises to get everyone in class making up 2-4 bars at a time that are on beat and that get laughs by the end. Focusing on rhyme games and confidence building\, we’ll cover all the basics to strengthen your skills or even just getting started on this journey. We’ll cover everything from counting beats\, different ways to set up your rhymes\, and mindsets that will help make the flow of words come out easier and\, more importantly\, better. Don’t let a fear of thinking you could never do it stop you from trying\, and we promise you will be impressed with yourself!”\n\nInstructors: This workshop is led by the freestyle rap duo Once Upon a Rhyme. Dylan Oakes Rohde founded The Backline Comedy Theatre and Omaha Comedy Fest\, and trained with members from Wild N Out\, Shamilton\, North Coast\, Acaprov\, and Mixtape. Rodney Conyers\, Jr. is an Esports Commentator and Freestyle rapper who also trained with Freestyle Love Supreme. They are now in multiple groups/shows besides their duo like Gett’n Rowdy and Zip-Zopera: The Improvised Hip-Hopera\, and have taken their show on the road to cities like Denver\, Kansas City\, New Orleans\, Tampa Bay\, and most recently Mobile’s first improv festival.

DESCRIPTION:RISE Comedy is excited to announce that we’re holding a summer improv intensive. We’ve brought some of the best teachers and performers in improvisation together for a 4 day intensive. You’ll get 6 hours from 4 great instructors for a total of 24 hours of improv training. Intensive students will also form an ensemble team that will get a performance slot in the RISE Comedy Festival taking place that same week. \nFrom 7/27 to 7/30 class sessions will start at 10am and conclude at 5pm\, with an hour long break at 1pm from Monday thru Thursday. Wednesday night we will be holding an improv jam for our community where you’ll get a chance to play with our intensive teachers. \nPayment plans are available through the checkout process.
