At first when Jimmy Fallon came onto the Late Night scene, I wasn’t so sure I was going to like him as a host. But after all the shenanigans he’s pulled, how can I not. Conan is my all time favorite late night host, Craig Ferguson pulls in second, and then I’d say Fallon comes in third for me (we’re talking about being funny here people, not just hosting a show). I can’t wait to see what James Corden does when he officially takes over for Ferguson, should be good folks. Fallon is setting a new standard for late night and I like it.
His latest trick: a “Saved By the Bell” reunion. The show rounded up Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, and Tiffani Thiessen, all stars of the early nineties show, to particpate in the skit. Fallon slipped himself in as a new character named “Jimmy Fallon” who was leaving to “be a comedian” and “host his own talk show”. He mentioned maybe even getting a date with Nicole Kidman, which got quite the laugh from the others.
We all know Mario Lopez who’s been the host of half the show you’ve seen on TV, tons of voicework and movies. Mark-Paul hasn’t stopped doing television since. Elizabeth and Tiffani much the same doing a lot of television shows.
A couple of days ago they all met at Fallon’s place and did this:
Which was actually pretty nostalgic for me, and I’m sure tons of other 90’s kids.
